The new V8 engined racing automobile takes design inspiration from 2010 Aston Martin V12 Vantage road automobile , giving it enhanced aerodynamics & increased down force. It also has a remapped four.7 liter engine offering increased levels of power & torque.

As with the current four.7 liter Aston Martin Vantage GT4, which made its race debut 2009 Aston Martin Vantage GT4, the 2011 automobile is closely based on the 2009 V8 Vantage road automobile with key attributes being carried over including the aluminum chassis, base engine and suspension design. In addition to the engine and aero upgrades, competitors can, for the first time, select a race-developed Bosch ABS and traction control method. This method has been specifically optimized by Bosch Motor sport for the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 to provide race-enhanced performance in both wet and dry conditions.
