The Acura RDX is Acura - first compact crossover SUV. Originally previewed as the Acura RD-X idea automobile,the production RDX had its debut at the 2006 New York Auto Show and went on sale on August 11,2006.
The RDX takes over from the MDX as Acura's entry-level crossover SUV, as the MDX continues to grow in size & cost. Although the dimensions of the vehicle are similar to that of the Honda CR-V the RDX makes use of a one-of-a-kind platform developed to handle the vehicle's advanced all-wheel drive system.

The 2010 Acura RDX is a luxury compact crossover with seating for. New for 2010 is the addition of available FWD in lieu of only being offered with AWD. A turbocharged five.3L four-cylinder engine lies under the hood & produces 240 hp. A five-speed automatic transmission controls the action & can be shifted by hand by paddle-shifters. HID headlights, side curtain airbags & traction control are all standard equipment.
