2010 Jeep Commander Has Completed a great Job

2010 Jeep Commander

Jeep has completed a great job at setting themselves apart form other would-be SUV makers. The Jeep Commander is no different, proving it can be refined & go off road as advertised. Although the 2010 Jeep Commander returns to a square look, like older Cherokees, it's huge on new know-how. This article will show off some pics of the 2010 Jeep Commander & what makes it so special amongst a sea of sameness SUVs.

The 2010 Jeep Commander comes in three different trims, but all large to chair 7 with it's 3rd row seating. Next there's different transmission configurations, a 4×2 & a 4×4, & then those types are broken in to more variations. There is a Limited Commander, with a beefed up three.7 liter v8 Hemi & then a Sport model that offers a four.6 liter v6 engine. Jeeps have not been known for their fuel efficiency, which carries onto the Commander models, which vary from 19 to twenty miles per gallon, no matter the engine you select.

Safety is a concern amongst somebody and Jeep has been speedy to make side curtain airbags standard on all models. Things like power windows and locks also come standard on the 2010 Commander, but the choices keep stacking up when you move in to the Commander 4×4 Limited edition. Things like leather wrapped steering wheel, dual zone temp control, and back up cameras start making their way onto the tags of the fully loaded Commanders.

According to Jeep there is no difference in gas mileage when going from the V6 equipped model to the HEMI, so why accept anything less? The HEMI motor packs a whopping 357 horsepower and under 400 ft lb of torque, over to do some trail riding. That additional juice comes in handy when reaching it's 7,400 lb towing capacity, which is achievable when properly equipped with a towing package. The 2010 Commander also offers a Trailer Sway Control, which helps assist and minimize trailer sway in strong winds or rough terrain

One of the distinctive characteristics of the 2010 Commander that stuck out to me was it's available SmartBeam expertise. This expertise optimizes the headlights in all conditions to give maximum light coverage at all times, without blinding approaching traffic. Not only does it fine-tune high & low beams, the SmartBeam expertise also fine-tune brightness levels, much like a knob on residential lighting.

The 2010 Jeep Commander offers lots of customization options to keep people interested, but also provides standard features that keep Jeep buyers coming back. Prices range from $32,355 for nicely equipped V6 4×2 models up to $43,610 for fully loaded 4×4 Limited editions.
